Venue Capability & Infrastructure Understanding
Venue Locations
We have a bank of trained operators based in Geelong, Melbourne and Ballarat, giving us the ability to reliably staff multiple games across the region each weekend. Our team is experienced in working across venues with varying levels of access, facilities and infrastructure, and we have systems in place to ensure equipment and personnel are deployed efficiently.
Venue Infrastructure Assessment
For each club we service, we’ve conducted detailed ground audits covering all relevant broadcast considerations. This includes:
- Availability of elevated filming positions
- Power access and any need for portable power
- Internet and mobile network coverage
- Lighting conditions for late games
- Weather protection for equipment
These audits are updated regularly. While we prioritise pre-season checks, we also work with clubs throughout the year to adapt to any changes or emerging needs.
Connectivity and Transmission
We currently use dual bonded dongles to provide consistent internet coverage for livestreaming, and have had strong performance across the season. In cases where venues have limited coverage, we work with clubs to access local Wi-Fi. Where needed, we are open to introducing a portable Starlink setup, subject to feasibility and additional cost.
Venue
Familiarity
We have existing experience at the majority of AFL Barwon venues and have worked across a wide range of community football and netball grounds. This familiarity supports reliable week-to-week delivery and quick resolution of any location-specific issues.
Approach and Timeline
We approach venue assessments as an ongoing process. While we prefer to conduct audits in the off-season, we regularly make site visits and adjustments during the year to maintain quality. We will work with AFL Barwon and its clubs to address challenges associated with the filming locations of various venues. Ahead of each season, we set a schedule of venue checks and infrastructure mapping to ensure we’re ready before the first broadcast.
